The Village of Colonie Youth and Family Services Department provides and maintains for the residents 27 acres of recreational fields and parks. The Village consists of one main park, Cook Park, and two mini parks, Milton Park and Locust Park. For more information on scheduling events or picnics at the Cook Park facility, call Brian Casey at 218-7438. The Village of Colonie Youth and Family Services Department provides fields for Colonie Little League and Colonie Babe Ruth. The Village also provides a recreation pavilion for residents. Everyone is urged to visit Cook Park, one of the area's finest multi-purpose recreational areas. Cook Park offers facilities for cookouts, family picnics, softball, soccer, volleyball, and other sports.
2008 COOK PARK FACILITIES RENTAL GUIDELINES
1. Rental fee per event is $125 for residents and $175 for businesses.

2. Security deposit is $100.

· Must be a money order payable to cash

· Must have name of renter (village resident/business) and event date on it

· Will ONLY be returned to renter who must be present
 3. Reservation by phone will be held for 10 calendar days only. If permit and fees are not completed in that time, the date will be released. 

4. Rentals are for VILLAGE RESIDENTS /BUSINESSES ONLY.

Directions To Cook Park
FROM THE EAST:
Take SR-7 towards 87 South (Northway) Take Northway to Exit 2W
Take Exit 2W. At Second traffic light – turn left onto Lincoln Avenue .
(L-Kens and Smokey Bones on right)
Go approximately one mile to Cook Park entrance on left.
Take left on Shambrook Parkway into Cook Park.

FROM THE WEST:
Take I-90 (Gov. Thomas E. Dewey Thruway) to Exit 24.
After toll booth – take Exit 1N. Proceed to Exit 2W towards Schenectady. Take Exit 2W onto Central Avenue (Route 5)
At second traffic light – turn left onto Lincoln Avenue.
(L-Kens & Smokey Bones on right).
Go approximately one mile to Cook Park entrance on left.
Take left on Shambrook Parkway into Cook Park.
