Betty
Film
The Village of Colonie is indeed fortunate to have Betty Film as a resident
and a member of the Board of Trustees. Betty has lived in the Village
of Colonie for over 20 years where her many friends and neighbors are
delighted that she is on the Board.
Betty was appointed to the Board in March 1979, with her backgrowid
in Public Administration and over 30 years of service in State Government.
Betty retired from State service where she was in charge of coordinating
all training for the Office of General Services as Supervisor of OGS
Staff Development. She has also worked for the State Insurance and Civil
Service Departments in her long career. Her expertise in a number of
areas of government on a local and state level make her service to the
Village extremely important. She continued her interest in the field
by receiving a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Albany
SUNY in 1978. She has been active in the Capital District as a member
of the Albany-TULA Alliance, the Colonie Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary,
